Unschooling Looks Like This Reading in the Car

Ssssh. Don’t interrupt…

If you’re wondering, Cinder is reading The Captive Prince, the third book in Scott Chantler’s Three Thieves graphic novel trilogy, and Flora’s re-reading Jane Yolen’s Foiled, an absolutely amazing graphic novel (its sequel, Curses! Foiled Again! is even better).

This was en route to Beakerhead. Have you heard about this? Probably not, because YYC is hosting the first one ever.  It’s “a citywideinteractive movement that explodes with creativity. It brings together the arts and engineering sectors from across the city, province, country and world to build, compete and exhibit interactive works of art, spectacle and entertainment during an annual week-long international happening each fall.” YYC gets to host the first one ever this week (yes!). How cool is it? Well, today, Cinder, Flora and Ender got to explore a Gothic Rocket Ship. ’tis again one of those cases where pictures do speak louder than words. Watch:

… and if you’re in YYC… we’ll see you at Beakerhead.
